I sell product or do a local event as a fundraiser. Why should I consider an online fundraiser?
Selling products or doing local discount cards or events are great for community building and team culture. Unfortunately, they are low profit / high labor endeavors. They Also only appeal to those interested in the product or local enough to attend the event. Online fundraisers appeal to ALL family members who want to support and have no cost of goods.
Why shouldn’t I just use GoFundMe?
Fundraising sites like GoFundMe are great for one time “causal” fundraisers like sick relatives or emergency situations. However, sports teams who need funds annually raise at a much less clip on GoFundMe and other similar platforms. In fact, we usually raise 10x more for sports teams compared to the year before when they’ve tried GoFundMe. We have a better solution for teams.
I’ve used other team focused online fundraisers before. Why is Vertical Raise different?

Vertical Raise doesn’t make money unless YOU make money and there’s no tiered system or penalties for small campaigns. Just a simple process with simple payment. You get what you earn, and we earn a percentage for all the powerful tools at your disposal created to save you time and raise more! Don’t be swayed by bargain platforms that ultimately delivers less.
Are family emails shared with anyone else?
Absolutely not! Other low % companies may sell your data as their revenue model, but Vertical Raise uses emails only for the fundraiser itself and no other reason after the campaign ends. All invited donors can also opt out from emails at any time.
Is having a dedicated VR Rep really that important?
Yes. It’s a huge difference maker compared to setting up a fundraising page online and hoping people see it and are motivated to donate. We are fundraising experts that will set up the campaign for success by motivating and highlighting the players and get the ball rolling with your team on launch day. After the launch, you can get back to coaching and the system will do all the work over the next 21 days.
Is Vertical Raise just an email system?
No. Although emails are very important and have been proven to the the #1 tool which converts to donations, Vertical Raise uses diverse marketing channels like email, text, social media, business sponsorship and employer donor matching programs to bestensure maximum fundraising results.
Some of our families are financially stressed. Should I exclude those players from the fundraiser?
No. The beauty of our system is that EVERYONE can participate in our fundraiser regardless of family’s finances. Vertical Raise is an effort based system where extended family like grandparents and other relatives can support and lessen any financial burden of the parents. We regularly see extended family cumulatively exceed fundraising expectations.
How long does it take to get our check?
We know you need your money ASAP. After a fundraiser ends, we jump right into action to verify all donations and then cut and mail out your check. It usually takes 5-10 business days for a check to arrive to you but we usually see it on the short end side of that estimate. We also have immediate direct deposit options for those in need of daily deposits.
